Grief and Loss Treatment in Massachusetts
Grief is the natural response to loss—of a loved one, a relationship, health, identity, or life circumstances. While grief is universal, it can become overwhelming when emotional pain persists, interferes with daily functioning, or develops into complicated grief or depression. Merrimack Valley Behavioral Health provides structured outpatient care for adults experiencing grief that has become unmanageable without professional support.
Our Amesbury, Massachusetts facility offers evidence-based therapy in a private, restorative setting inside the historic Mill 77 building. We also provide Virtual IOP services statewide for Massachusetts residents who need flexible access to grief counseling. Our licensed clinicians understand that grief has no timeline and that each person's experience of loss is unique.
Treatment at MVBH is designed to help you process your grief, develop healthy coping strategies, address co-occurring mental health conditions, and gradually rebuild a sense of purpose and connection. We work with adults 18 and older across all levels of outpatient care.
