Mental Health & Substance Use Treatment for Veterans in Massachusetts

Military service creates unique mental health challenges that require specialized, trauma-informed care. At Merrimack Valley Behavioral Health, we provide outpatient treatment designed for veterans across Massachusetts who are managing PTSD, depression, anxiety, substance use, moral injury, and the complex transitions between military and civilian life.

Our Amesbury location at Mill 77 offers in-person care, and our Virtual IOP program serves veterans statewide who need flexible, accessible treatment. We honor your service by delivering evidence-based, clinically grounded care that respects military culture and addresses the realities of combat exposure, deployment stress, and reintegration challenges.

MVBH is a DPH-licensed outpatient facility. We are not a residential program, not a VA hospital, and not a detox center. For veterans in acute crisis or at risk of self-harm, call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) or dial 911. Veterans can also reach the Veterans Crisis Line at 988, then press 1.
