How MVBH outpatient options differ
MVBH offers several outpatient formats rather than one standard trauma program. Use the MVBH contact options for initial questions and confirm the physical setting through the Amesbury treatment location details. Program intensity, delivery format, clinical fit, openings, and possible start dates require separate confirmation.
Full Day Treatment, also called PHP, provides the most structured outpatient option available at MVBH. Half Day Treatment, also called IOP, provides a lower time commitment than a full-day program. Outpatient care generally offers less program time. A screening or assessment determines whether any option matches the adult's needs.
Virtual IOP provides live care remotely, but each participant must be physically present in Massachusetts during every session. Living in another state, having a Massachusetts clinician, or holding coverage connected to Massachusetts does not replace this physical-presence requirement.
Dual-diagnosis services may be considered when mental health and substance-use concerns occur together. This does not mean MVBH provides onsite detoxification. If withdrawal management, overnight monitoring, inpatient treatment, or residential care is needed, a different setting may be more appropriate.
Ask what “trauma treatment” means within the option under consideration. Psychotherapy can have different goals and methods, and an individual plan depends on assessed needs and clinical guidance. A website cannot promise a particular therapy, clinician, group, or outcome.
