What this page should help you decide
If you are comparing mental health treatment in Massachusetts, first decide what information you need before contacting a provider. Professionals and families can review the professional referral guide for coordinating an inquiry. Adults considering care can use the starting-care page for a practical first step. Neither route commits anyone to admission.
MVBH treats adults through outpatient programs. Available service categories include Full Day Treatment, also called PHP; Half Day Treatment, also called IOP; standard Outpatient care; Virtual IOP; and dual-diagnosis services.
This page can help you identify the next question to ask. It cannot determine whether a program is clinically appropriate for one person. A screening or suitable clinical assessment is needed to evaluate fit.
Before calling, consider what you are trying to clarify: the amount of weekly structure, in-person versus virtual participation, treatment for mental health and substance-use concerns together, or continuity after another service. Coverage, authorization, cost sharing, clinical fit, availability, and a possible start date must each be confirmed separately.
