What Full Day Treatment (PHP) is designed to provide
Full Day Treatment may provide a more consistent treatment routine than periodic outpatient appointments. MVBH describes the schedule, assessment process, individual and group therapy components, medication-management coordination when appropriate, and transitions to other outpatient levels during admissions. The actual treatment plan is individualized; the page does not make a universal level-of-care recommendation.
The goal of a program page is to explain the structure, not to make a clinical recommendation online. A screening considers the person’s current needs, safety, ability to participate, practical responsibilities, and the services MVBH can appropriately provide. It may confirm that this program is a fit, identify a different outpatient option, or show that a different setting is needed first.
The U.S. Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration explains that intensive outpatient and partial-hospitalization services are outpatient settings: people receive coordinated care for part of the day and leave the same day. Read SAMHSA’s treatment-setting overview.
