What this option means for an adult in Boston
Co-occurring care addresses mental health and substance use concerns together instead of treating them as unrelated issues. Boston adults can review MVBH’s therapeutic approaches for adult outpatient care and learn about the admissions and assessment process. These resources provide treatment information, but they cannot determine whether a specific service is right for one person.
MVBH provides adult dual-diagnosis services within its outpatient programs. In-person treatment takes place only at 77 Elm St, Amesbury, MA 01913. MVBH does not operate a Boston facility.
Co-occurring concerns can affect each other, so a qualified assessment should consider both. A person does not need to settle on a diagnosis before making an initial call. The purpose of that conversation is to share basic needs, understand available services, and identify the appropriate next assessment step.
Someone who may need one of those settings requires a different resource or level-of-care evaluation.
