What this option means for an adult in Boston
Choosing care starts with understanding the difference between general therapy and treatment information and a personal recommendation. Boston adults can use the MVBH admissions process to discuss outpatient options, but any in-person participation occurs at 77 Elm St, Amesbury, MA 01913. MVBH does not operate a Boston facility.
A level of care describes the structure and intensity of treatment. It can affect how much of the day treatment occupies, how often someone participates, and how care fits around life outside the program. The appropriate choice should reflect assessed needs rather than a city page, diagnosis label, or preference alone.
MVBH provides adult outpatient Full Day Treatment, also called PHP, Half Day Treatment, also called IOP, Outpatient care, Virtual IOP, and dual-diagnosis services. These are outpatient options.
Location is part of the decision. A Boston resident considering in-person care must decide whether repeated travel to Amesbury is workable. A person considering Virtual IOP must be physically present in Massachusetts during every live session. That rule applies even when the participant lives or works elsewhere.
