Access to outpatient care involves more than distance. Consider the proposed schedule, repeated attendance, transportation, work or caregiving, benefits review, privacy, and the support available outside program hours. The purpose of this guide is to help visitors ask practical questions before deciding whether an admissions conversation is the right next step.
MVBH’s in-person outpatient services are delivered in Amesbury. Review the Amesbury access page and the Newbury access page for location-specific explanations. MVBH does not imply a facility in another city simply because a resident may travel to Amesbury.
Virtual IOP can reduce travel for an eligible participant, but the participant must be physically located in Massachusetts during every live session. Virtual care is still subject to an appropriate screening and is not a substitute for emergency care.
