Who We Are
Merrimack Valley Behavioral Health is a DPH-licensed outpatient mental health center in Amesbury, MA. We're located at 77 Elm St, in the Mill 77 building. Our team includes psychiatrists, licensed therapists, and psychiatric nursing staff who work together across our programs: a Full Day PHP, Half Day IOP, standard outpatient care, and a Virtual IOP for Massachusetts residents.
Our clinicians are licensed in Massachusetts. If you're licensed in another state and not pursuing Massachusetts licensure, we likely wouldn't be a fit for clinical roles, and we want you to know that upfront.
What We Look For
When we do hire, we look for people who take the work seriously without taking themselves too seriously. Clinical skill matters, and so does the ability to be honest with clients and colleagues. We value clinicians who'll tell a client when something isn't working, who'll adjust a treatment plan when the evidence points that way, and who treat people like individuals rather than diagnoses.
We don't promise a perfect workplace, because no workplace is. What we do promise is that we'll be upfront with you during the hiring process about what the role actually involves day to day.
